A prayer

A prayer for all of this / for You Lord do best

in the form of “A Prayer That Will Be Answered” by Anna Kamienska

Lord let me be bothered

and then moved

Let my heart be sweet honey

and leave much residue

Make the birds sing louder

let sunlight burn my skin

Let silence clog my ears

so I might listen

so my ears may perk to pause

and my shoulders lean

Make my zeal fragrant

as blossoms of tangerine

And let my words stay consistent as the space

between east and west
